American-design mortar and pestle sets made from 99.7% pure aluminum oxide for laboratory grinding applications. The material has hardness greater than agate, is impervious to liquids under vacuum and highly resistant to chemical corrosion. With a stated hardness of 83 on the Rockwell 45N scale, the set is designed to support effective grinding while minimizing sample contamination. Multiple capacities and pestle lengths are available.
